Custom Built COSHH store, for a building company in Southampton. This company came to Universal with their enquiry as they have seen our fantastic containerised COSHH stores through the Universal website. However they wanted something a little wider than a container as they are only 8ft wide, this particular client wanted the unit to be 20ft long but 10ft wide. So we custom built them a new corrugated cabin from scratch. We put a set of cargo doors in the 20ft side and built them, a steel access ramp so the cabin could be loaded and unloaded with ease. It also had a sub bund floor to contain any spillages, with the removable steel grated walkway we installed the customer would not have to walk into the spillages. We also fitted floating 3 tier heavy duty steel racking for them and internally painted the unit in light grey anti corrosive paint and painted the outside in a bright red colour. We also applied Graffotherm to the ceiling which is a anti condensation prevention treatment. With this client being in the building trade they just wanted fabrication and paintwork from us as they have their own electricians etc. However Universal can fit this unit out with full electrics also including ATEX rated electrics.
