32ft Welfare Cabin

27 November 2018

This unit was a 32ft x 10ft flat panel bespoke unit built for a nationwide cabin and plant hire company. They wanted a unit to act as a welfare facility on a building site and needed it to include a W/C (to be DocM compliant), a shower / changing room, a small office and a canteen with a sink and cupboards. The customer was unsure if all this could be fitted in one unit, so our universal CAD team created a to scale drawing to show what room sizes would be and to show how it all could fit into this unit. Soon after the drawing was approved an order was placed and our fabricators were building the unit, following completion it was painted in zinfos 800 paint. The next stage was for our joiners to line and insulate the unit as well as fitting the windows. Then our plumbers and electricians worked together to complete the unit. With shower, sinks, toilet, and full electrics including lighting, heating, water heaters, and socket outlets. We do everything from start to finish in house here at Universal. The customer was so impressed with the unit we are in the process of building Another 2 units for 2 more sites.
