Shipping Container Anti-Rack Ring – Container Door Locking Component

The Anti-Rack Ring is a vital steel component used in the door locking system of ISO shipping containers. Its purpose is to prevent deformation of the container door frame caused by twisting forces during transport, handling, or stacking. By acting as a mechanical stop on the locking rod, the ring helps maintain proper alignment of the door and ensures smooth operation of the locking mechanism.

Manufactured from high-strength structural steel and typically hot-dip galvanised for corrosion resistance, the anti-rack ring is designed for long-term durability in harsh transport environments, including maritime conditions.

Each standard container uses eight anti-rack rings, positioned next to the locking rod brackets on the container doors. These rings help maintain structural stability, ensure a proper door seal, and support safe cargo transport.
