Retainer Plate – Flat Lever | Shipping Container Door Lock Part

The Flat Lever Retainer Plate is an essential component of a shipping container door locking system. Mounted on the outside of container swing doors, it securely holds the door handle in the locked position, preventing accidental opening or unauthorized access.

Designed to work with a retainer catch, the handle folds into the plate and the catch rotates over it to mechanically lock the container door. This ensures the container locking bars remain firmly secured during transport and storage.

Manufactured from high-strength structural steel (typically S355), the pressed flat lever design offers excellent durability while remaining lightweight. The plate is commonly hot-dip galvanized or zinc coated to provide long lasting protection against corrosion in harsh marine and outdoor environments.

This pressed retainer plate is the most widely used type on ISO 3-bar shipping containers and is ideal for container repairs, refurbishments, and replacement door hardware.
